Clare Davies : Counselling Services

Home

Welcome.  My name is Clare Davies.  I am a humanistic counsellor providing one-to-one counselling in Tamworth, Staffordshire.  I have worked as a counsellor since 2005.  I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics, and am also an accredited Counselling Practitioner of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC).

I understand that the first step in looking for a counsellor may often involve a good deal of courage, and a certain amount of anxiety.  I would offer you an assessment session which would give you an opportunity to explore what counselling is and if it is right for you.  It would be valuable for us both to meet and get a feel of whether we think we could work together.   Only after this session would we contract for further work.

My aim is to offer you a safe confidential space in which to explore your world, and help you make sense of some of the issues that may be affecting you. I am a warm, caring person, who is willing to journey with you for however long you need my support.  This may be a matter of weeks, months or longer.  My approach encompasses you holistically.  I work relationally in the here-and-now to raise your awarenesses and increase your choices.

Issues that counselling can help you with include :  low self-esteem, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, abuse, anxiety, fear, bullying, anger, alcohol-related issues, childhood issues, loss of identity.

In addition to counselling, I run Quiet Days for counsellors and people in the helping professions. These Quiet Days provide a day of reflection and quietness where you can get away from the busyness of everyday life, giving yourself some quality time and space to reflect, refresh and renew.  These can be organised for individual agencies or organisations, or people can book singly to come on a day that has already been arranged.  For more information, click on the Quiet Day page above.
